Compact River Cabin Design in Washington

The Tye River cabin, located in Skykomish, Washington, and designed by Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen Architects, is everything eco friendly cottages should be – small, sweet, inspired by nature and built in harmony with it. This natural cabin design is nestled on a nine-acre piece of property surrounded by forest with a river flowing through the site. Preserving the fragile river ecosystem became a top priority in this eco house design, while maintaining function and style. This small cabin encompasses just 600 sq. ft., but packs a big punch in this compact space. With a kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom, all the necessities have accounted for. As for style, organic finishes give the cabin a country-chic look with reclaimed old growth Douglas fir and a rustic poured-concrete fireplace warming up the home. Lots of large windows and glass doors open onto outdoor entertaining areas, inviting the outdoors in and adding yet another element of nature to this modern river front home. Luxury Garden Shed Designs – compact sheds for work and play

To work and play, Archipod is your all-in-one luxury garden shed design. Tucked quietly in a corner of your existing home’s property or as an independent structure all its own, this compact garden shed is an insulated sphere measuring three meters in diameter. The small design lets you isolate the intended function of a space, so whether you use it as a home office, an artist’s studio, a guest house, a kids’ play room or an adult retreat, this cool shed provides peace and privacy aplenty. With this smart wooden prefab structure, you can extend your home’s living space without going through the cost and inconvenience of a home addition and renovation. The spherical design is clad in rustic Western Red Cedar wood shingles, giving the shed a country-chic aesthetic. A top-hinged gull-wing door swings open, resembling a spaceship to welcome you into this ultra-modern design. Whimsical as it looks, this small garden shed is big on function, featuring a 2.9-meter internal diameter ready to fill with your work and play essentials. Interiors are fully plastered and ready to decorate in your style, your way. At the top of the dome, a skylight floods interiors with natural light. Archipod
